What's this, art with a BG? *gasp* Okay, so the Ghost Zone is -the- easiest BG in existence. Sue me. xDD
Anyways, so I really needed to get off my bum and draw some art for that application I'm working on...so yay, you guys get to be bombarded with images of Rhada.
Took me like, three days to work on this. THREE DAYS. Okay, that's a minimum count, it could've easily been more.
Trust me, my hands would be shriveled masses of nothing if I didn't take a break or two or five with this. My method of colored pencil shading is very, very painful (This was done entirely in colored pencil, except the outline, which was done in sharpie, along with the scale detail).
I'm soooo glad I finished this...I wasn't going to, but I really needed to draw more stuff, and I really did like this particular picture when it was still in the sketch phase...
Easy backgrounding or not, it does make the art come more alive. And the fact you're willing to suffer for your art ('kay you took breaks, that's beside the point I'm making) shows hom dedicated you are. And that on itself is showing in the result: very nicely done
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
